Adria stays strong in 55th anniversary year despite pandemic

The strength of the Adria and Sun Living brands are helping parent company Adria Mobil Group enjoy a successful year so far in 2020, despite the global pandemic and other challenges. This year represents the Slovenian company’s 55th anniversary, with it launching new generation caravans and motorhomes to celebrate (the Adora, Coral and Matrix models), which have all be well received. The reason for Adria’s good performance in 2020 so far is down to the continuing innovations with these kinds of products according to CEO Sonja Gole. She said: ‘’The recent pandemic challenges have been challenging but the best brands emerge the strongest and we expect this to be the case with our Adria and Sun Living brands. Adria is today in a strong position in all the European markets, by official EU statistics for both motorhome and caravan segments combined, Adria is the biggest single brand in Europe. We are number one. We find our success by focusing equally on new product design and development, on the development of our extensive distribution network and by investing in our brands, Adria and Sun Living.”

The proof is in the pudding with this statement – Adria Mobil Group finished its 2018/19 fiscal year with more than 16,600 units of RV products sold and a turnover of more than €475million.

Matjaž Grm, Adria Mobil’s executive sales and marketing director, added: “Our pan-European consumer research tells us how well the Adria brand is perceived in all markets, it is an extremely well positioned and highly recognized brand with clear brand values which resonate with our customers. Adria scores really well on high quality and modern design with our customer base, they like the brand and particularly like our well-planned interiors, high functionality and premium value. And we continue to win independent recognition for design and innovation, with most recently the Astella winning a Red Dot design award and Best of the Best award for design and communications from the German Design Council.’’
