Australian caravan and camping show wins major tourism award

Australia’s Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow in New South Wales has been awarded the Gold prize in the Major Festivals and Events category of the 2021 NSW Tourism Awards – one of the highest accolades it can achieve.

The show, which takes place in Sydney, is part of a family of events in New South Wales including Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expos in Illawarra, Canberra and Newcastle.

Lyndel Gray, the CEO of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association NSW, said: “We are proud to have received this prestigious award recognising the Supershow not only for being a high-quality event, but also acknowledging the huge economic value our industry generates in regional communities, the significant sales it generates for our exhibitors and the great experience enjoyed by more than 60,000 people who attended over the 6 days of the event.

“Since its humble beginnings more than 50 years ago, the Supershow has grown a successful program which brings hundreds of traders together in the one place providing a consumer showcase of the latest caravan and camping products, services, destinations and experiences.

“Time and again it has proven to be a highly successful way to attract, engage and develop consumer audiences with an interest in caravan and camping holidays in NSW. Over the years we have expanded our offering and now also operate large regional events in the Illawarra, Newcastle, and Canberra.”

The 2022 Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow will be held at Rosehill Racecourse this Aprill from 19-24 April and will feature thousands of the latest products with a strong line-up of entertainment, education, food, and fun for the whole family.  For information and to keep updated, click here.
