BAILEY PHOENIX+ CARAVANS

One of the reasons Bailey has been so successful in the leisure vehicle market in the UK is not only because it offers exceptional products at the high end of the spectrum, but also because it knows how to offer quality, affordable caravans for newcomers to the hobby. This ethos can be witnessed perfectly with the new Phoenix+ range of caravans launched in the autumn of 2020. This six-layout range is built on single axle chassis and adds extra levels of quality and refinement to what has always been the entry-level range of Bailey caravans designed for first-time buyers.

Bailey managing director Nick Howard said: “The introduction of the Phoenix+ range brings an additional level of refinement to our popular first-choice range.

“Enhanced styling inside and out gives Phoenix a fresh new look, which combined with an already comprehensive specification, accessible unladen weights and a competitive retail price make it an extremely attractive proposition to people considering their first new caravan purchase.”

The caravans are built with Bailey’s patented Alu-Tech construction technology, which make them more lightweight, robust and weatherproof than traditional manufacturing methods, according to the company. They also feature plenty of excellent features such as a Truma Combi heating and hot water system, plenty of USB sockets, DAB digital radio, new Light Oak furnishings, two fabric options and the highest rating for thermal performance in rigorous cold chamber testing.

What makes these ‘vans excellent for first time buyers is two things. First, the price. They start at £18,399 and top out at £19,999. The second is their low weight – all the models feature a maximum technically permissible laden mass (MTPLM) of under 1,450kg, meaning they can be towed by a very wide range of vehicles, thus making them more accessible.

The range of layouts includes:

  • Phoenix+ 420 – a single axle, two-berth, end-washroom design
  • Phoenix+ 440 – a single axle, four-berth, corner double bed, end-washroom design
  • Phoenix+ 642 – a single axle, four-berth, twin single bed, end-washroom design
