Caravan Industry Association of Australia appoints joint deputy chairs

The Caravan Industry Association of Australia (CIAA) has appointed two new deputy chairs to its national board in the shape of COO of THL Australia Kate Meldrum and CEO of Tasman Holiday Parks Nikki Milne. It is the first time that two individuals have shared the title, a move that the CIAA hopes will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to its national board.

Kate Meldrum has more than 20 years of experience in the RV rental industry under her belt with her current role being the COO of Tourism Holdings Australia, which encompasses the Maui, Britza and Mighty RV rental brands. Kate has a strong background in business and people leadership with expertise and experience in international and domestic marketing and sales.

Nikki Milne also has more than 20 years of experience in the holiday park, senior’s living and retail property sectors and is currently the CEO of Tasman Holiday Parks, an emerging corporate group with 21 holiday parks across Australia and New Zealand. Combining her excellent leadership abilities with a strong financial and analytical focus, Nikki navigates critical thinking and problem solving through a consumer-centric lens to enhance organisational performance.

The pair were appointed at a national board meeting for the CIAA, during which Martin Cotterell was re-appointed as treasurer, while Grant Wilckens had been previously re-elected as chair by the member state associations at the Annual General Meeting in November.
