Dutch show enjoys triumphant return

After missing its 2020 event due to the coronavirus pandemic, leading Dutch camping show Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs enjoyed a successful return to action when it took place in Utrecht from 6 to 10 October this year. Campers from around the Netherlands and neighbouring countries flocked to the show, which was deemed a success by the Dutch traveller’s association ANWB. The ANWB also estimates that the Netherlands now has about four million active campers, after adding more than a million during the pandemic.

At the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs, people got the chance to get acquainted with the latest camping equipment, campsites, camping gadgets, and e-bike cycling. A large number of brands presented their newest products. In addition, there was an extensive theater-at-workshop program, where visitors could improve their camping skills while enjoying the latest camping trends.

Rachel Jankowsky of the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs: “Camping was already extremely popular, even if it is one of the most sustainable ways to spend a holiday, especially compared to cruise and air holidays. But many people have found camping the only way to enjoy a safe holiday over the past year and a half. And, it's also just fun, right? Go where you want, sleep in your own bed and decide for yourself what time you want to eat instead of waiting in line for the breakfast buffet: that is the charm of camping.”

The Utrecht event covered camping across the board: from simple tents to popular roof tents, from folding trailers and tent trailers to mini caravans, luxury caravans and immense campers. Whether a seasoned camper or starting their first camping adventure: a lot of Dutch campers next road trip started successfully in Utrecht.
