France gears up for Salon Véhicules de Loisirs show

The French caravan, motorhome and RV industry is preparing for the 56th edition of the Salon Véhicules de Loisirs show, which promises new products, innovations, and trends. The event takes place from 24 September to 4 October at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre and will be focussed on showcasing that caravans and motorhomes remain one of the best ways to ensure cost-effective holidays. Research by the French tourism industry has shown that motorhome and caravan users spend approximately only €40 per day on their holidays due to the low accommodation costs of campsites and parking areas, being able to cook your own food, and also energy efficiency of modern vehicles.

Other trends you can expect to see at the show include the more and more compact nature of campers, making them more accessible to more people, the increase technological advances on each unit, and the vast array of customisable options available on most new caravans and motorhomes.

The nine-day show is expected to host more than 160 different exhibitors and usually attracts more than 80,000 visitors over its duration.
