Huge demand for UK Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show tickets

The organisers of the UK’s Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show have announced that more than 26,000 advance tickets have already been sold for its event, more than 10 times the number normally seen at this stage in previous years. The show, which takes place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from 22 to 27 February, will also feature 50 per cent more campervans than in recent years to reflect the growth of that market in the UK.

John Lally, CEO of show organisers NCC Events, said: “The strong ticket sales are a clear indication of pent-up demand– we know that not only are there a lot of new buyers coming into the industry, but many of the core market of caravanners have held off upgrading their outfits.”

“Interest in leisure vehicles is such that Channel 5 have chosen to focus on the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, as part of their new year programming, with filming taking place during the show and aired live during the event to an anticipated 1.5 million viewers. Its great publicity for our exhibitors – interest in the industry has never been so high!

“This will be the first major leisure vehicle exhibition in the UK for two years and we know that many will have missed the opportunity to step inside the latest models, compare the different layouts and specifications and talk face-to-face with others who share their love of the touring lifestyle.

“We are delighted that so many manufacturers across product categories are using the show as a platform to launch new models and utilising the event to present their brand to an audience that has boomed with many newcomers.

“There will be an excellent range of well-equipped holiday homes, lodges and tents on offer too. There really is no better place to see what’s on, choose a perfect vehicle and chat to a friendly face who can reassure, offer advice and demonstrate features on their chosen products.”

The show will occupy five halls of the NEC and will also showcase innovative displays that will help campers get inspiration about travelling and combining other outdoor activities and adventures with their camping, caravanning or motorhoming holidays. The show will also have a raft of COVID safety protocols in place to ensure that the 354 stand holders and thousands of visitors can enjoy the event in a safe environment.

Terry Dullaghan, interim managing director of NCC events said: “We are looking forward to the industry putting on a magnificent show and there will be a huge choice of both British and Continental models of tourers, motorhomes and campervans across all price points.”
