Key promotions at RV Industry Association and GoRVing

The United States’ RV Industry Association and its consumer-facing marketing arm Go RVing have made two key staff promotions to help ensure continued future success.

Bill Baker (pictured above, left) has been promoted to the position of vice president of membership and research at the RV Industry Association (RVIA) in recognition of his outstanding leadership in these departments. An integral part of the organisation for more than 25 years, Bill has led marketing communications, public relations efforts and served on the government affairs team with distinction.

RVIA executive vice president James Ashurst said: “Since taking over leadership of the membership and research function, Bill and his team have done an excellent job bettering the engagement with RV Industry Association membership and positioning the organization as the most credible resource for consumer and RV industry research and data.

“The RV Industry Association has never before had this level of research and data available to our members, and in this new role, Bill and his team will continue to build upon this foundation and bring even more data to our members.”

Bill added: “It is an honour to work in an industry full of amazing people and alongside such a talented team. This is the members’ association, and my team is dedicated to ensuring members are getting the resources, services, and support they need. Our goal is to ensure RV Industry Association members have access to right data to assist in making informed, data-driven business decisions in an evolving RV market.”

Meanwhile, Karen Redfern (pictured above, right) has been promoted to chief marketing officer and senior vice president of GO RVing in recognition of her own outstanding leadership of the GO RVing program. Karen has been with Go RVing since the inception, and over the past several years she has taken on a direct leadership role of all facets of the Go RVing program, resulting in continued growth and unmatched success for the overall campaign.

RVIA’s James Ashurst said: “In her time with Go RVing, Karen launched the program into the digital and social media powerhouse it has become.

“She has built an outstanding team of talented marketers who have developed and executed award-winning promotions across all forms of media and platforms, delivering daily on Go RVing's primary mission to engage and attract new consumers to RVing.”

Karen added: “It is a privilege to work with such a creative, dedicated, and talented team in an industry I admire and have watched evolve in so many impressive ways. In this expanded role I look forward to working more closely with our members to achieve our common goals, nurturing the talents and confidence of my team as they continue to grow and together we continue to reach emerging populations of consumers who are inspired to become RV owners. Strategically, our campaigns and programs, while ever-changing, are always rooted in planting the seeds to future-proof the industry.”
