Knaus Tabbert signs chassis supply agreement with Mercedes-Benz

Leading German leisure vehicle manufacturer Knaus Tabbert has signed an agreement with Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles to supply light commercial base vehicles for its future motorhomes. High-class Mercedes-Benz vehicles will now be a chassis option for Knaus Tabbert’s Weinsberg brand as part of the arrangement.

Wolfgang Speck, CEO of Knaus Tabbert, said: “With the premium manufacturer Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles, our customers, dealers and we are gaining a reliable and high‐quality partner. Mercedes Benz stands equally for innovation, quality and sustainability in the automotive sector and is therefore a perfect partner for Knaus Tabbert and the execution of our growth targets.”

The deal means that Knaus Tabbert has expanded its range of base vehicles to three quality suppliers – this particular move will not only offer customers more choice but also significantly improve the company’s ability to deliver, which was hampered by the recent semiconductor shortage crisis. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis will be used in Weinsberg motorhomes from the second quarter of 2022.
