Lippert surpasses 550,000 hours of community service

RV accessories and components supplier Lippert has reached the impressive milestone of its team members around the world offering more than 550,000 hours of volunteering to community projects. Lippert’s community service effort is known as the 100,000 Hour Volunteer Initiative and each year since 2017, it has challenged its more than 14,000 team members to volunteer more than 100,000 hours of service to organisations that align with their passions and interests. In 2021, more than 50 per cent of Lippert team members participated in various volunteer events, activities and small acts of kindness including things as varied as making weekly phone calls to homebound senior citizens, coordinating a snow shovelling challenge to help neighbours in need, taking a pie in the face to raise money for charity, and making heated blankets for the homeless.

Lippert’s director of corporate and community impact, Michilah Grimes, said: “We are extremely proud of the time, talent, and heart our team members continue to pour into communities across the globe. Our team members are constantly inspiring each other, and even those outside of Lippert, to serve in ways that have a powerful and lasting impact in their communities.”

Meanwhile, Lippert president and CEO, Jason Lippert, added: “It’s truly incredible and humbling to see how our team members from all over the world continue to make a difference in ways that are meaningful and impactful.  Serving alongside one another helps us strengthen our relationships, our teams, our culture, and ultimately the community.  Our hope is that other businesses follow the lead we are setting because that will truly make a difference in this world we live in as we make business a force for good.  We’re excited to see all that’s ahead in 2022.”

For 2022, Lippert has set a 70 per cent participation goal along with its annual goal of completing 100,000 volunteer hours.
