Record July revenues recorded by campsite chain First Camp

Scandinavia’s largest campsite chain First Camp has announced record revenues for July, with growth of 17 per cent compared to 2021 and 18 per cent up on 2019. The group, which has more than 60 campsites throughout Denmark and Sweden, claims that July is its most important trading month, so these figures are particularly satisfying.

First Camp’s CEO Johan Söör commented: “It is very satisfying that we deliver such strong revenue growth not only compared to last year, but also compared to 2019, which was the latest normal year before the Covid-19 pandemic. This year the international guests have returned, and our investments in an even better product have yielded results. This summer we’ve offered a record large activity program for our guests including kids club with our popular character Yessi, and we’ve continued to invest in our destinations including in more accommodation capacity. Furthermore, our website is maintaining its position as the largest booking channel in Scandinavia for camping and cabin stays.

“Also, it is satisfying to see a significant increase in guest satisfaction vs previous years, and our employee engagement scores have increased further vs last year’s record results. I want to direct a big thank you to all employees in the Group who have delivered fantastic achievements during the most intense period of the year.”

The five destinations with the highest revenue in July were Jesperhus Feriepark, First Camp Sunne – Fryksdalen (including Sunne sommarland), First Camp Orsa – Dalarna, First Camp Arcus – Luleå and First Camp Moraparken – Dalarna.
