Snow Peak and Rivian collaborate to create 'ultimate outdoor cooking setup'

Japanese camping and outdoors brand Snow Peak and innovative electric truck maker Rivian have unveiled a joint project to create the Rivian Camp Kitchen x Snow Peak. This collaboration between two likeminded brands will see the forthcoming Rivian RIT truck have the option of being fitted with a 30 -piece Snow Peak kitchen set that means users will have everything they need to make food on the go, no matter where their outdoor adventures take them.

The Camp Kitchen is housed within the Rivian R1T’s Gear Tunnel, a 65-inch long compartment that runs the width of the truck with more than 11 cubic feet of storage capacity. Attached to the Gear Tunnel Shuttle, a platform that allows it to slide out easily and securely, the heart of the Camp Kitchen is a two-burner induction cooktop, powered by the vehicle battery, that is energy efficient and powerful at 1,440 watts. The Snow Peak Kitchen Set is secured within the Camp Kitchen’s drawers, nesting in custom-moulded insets that hold Snow Peak cookware and tableware for four people.

Tohru Yamai, CEO of Snow Peak USA, said: “Snow Peak and Rivian share a passion for creating memorable outdoor experiences through meticulous attention to product design.  Our companies look to the customer to inform product creation that exceeds their expectations, and the Camp Kitchen exemplifies that approach, offering elevated outdoor cooking experiences in nature’s most remote locations. We believe Rivian’s innovative vehicles will change the outdoors for the better, connecting people with nature and each other and we’re proud to be part of the R1T experience.”
