Truma aims to move camping to a new age with iNet X

Innovative RV accessory and component producer Truma has announced it will be launching a new travel technology solution for motorhomes and caravans at the upcoming Caravan Salon show. To be known as iNet X, the new system will allow users to easily control and network the appliances on board their leisure vehicle via a control panel or app with the possibility for software updates to be run by users themselves and the possibility to extend the system in a modular way. The iNet X System will allow appliances and services from various manufacturers to be conveniently controlled by a central operating system, it will easily be able to integrate future products and functions, can be controlled intuitively via a touchscreen and soon-to-be-launched app, and will also benefit from improvements as suggested by users via regular customer surveys. The system also promises to be super reliable thanks to continual developments lead by detailed error displays and customer service with a personal touch.

Truma’s Alexander Wottrich said: “Smartphones and networking have certainly changed people’s everyday lives. We are drawing on new technological options and pursuing the vision to make travelling more intelligent and convenient with increased safety and networking. In line with our motto: be smart, we want to kick off the new age of camping with the new Truma iNet X System.

“We are delighted that we have been able to establish such a great community of satisfied and happy customers over our 72 years in business. So much so, we want to incorporate our customers even more in shaping and developing our future. We will be integrating their ideas and wishes into intelligent product solutions. As such, we are laying the foundations with iNet X.”

Truma already has several major leisure vehicle brands on board with the new system including Weinsberg, Roller Team and Carthago, who will all be fitting some of their vehicles with the system this year.
