Truma donates to child and youth welfare institution

In what is becoming a long-standing tradition for the company, motorhome and caravan accessory brand Truma has announced that instead of buying Christmas presents for its customers and business partners it will donate €10,000 to a charitable organisation instead.

This year, Truma is donating to Schloss Zinneberg, a child and youth welfare institution in Glonn near Munich, Germany to help enable six of its classrooms to be equipped with the latest digital infrastructure. This will include high-quality cameras, microphones, headsets and other accessories. Schloss Zinneberg includes a special educational home for girls and young ladies, a grammar school and vocational school, an open full-time school as well as a day centre for special educational needs.

Truma CEO, Robert Strauß, said: “It is a matter close to our hearts to support local organizations with projects that they would otherwise not be able to realize. This becomes all the more important in unprecedented Covid-19 times.”

Meanwhile, manager of Schloss Zinneberg Sister Christophora added: “Thanks to the new IT equipment, we are able to split classes, if required, and transfer the lessons to different rooms or even to the pupils’ homes. What’s more, we are using the new equipment to make practical video tutorials for our pupils. The digital packages are also used when it comes to extracurricular aspects: It has allowed us to perform our first consultations online in a therapeutic context.”
