UK's Outdoor Trade Show going ahead

After the latest loosening of COVID-19 restrictions by the UK government, leading outdoor industry show the Outdoor Trade Show (OTS) has confirmed it will be going ahead as planned from 29 June to 1 July. The show, which will take place at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, will be hosting more than 100 exhibitors showcasing products from the camping, bushcraft, water sports, climbing, hiking and outdoor adventure markets. The show always attracts a wide range of retailers, buyers, media and networkers within the outdoor industry looking to make new connections and gain new business.

Marta Williams, director of OTS organiser MCS PR, said: “OTS 2021, the UK’s only trade show for the outdoor industry, has even more relevance this year by providing the important face to face meetings everyone has missed in 2020 and offers more than ever a vital focus for the UK outdoor trade, after such challenging economic times for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you all to the first face to face event in the outdoor industry for over a year, at our new home in Liverpool.”

The show organisers have also reassured visitors and exhibitors that they will be running a thorough set of protocols aimed at making the event a Covid-safe environment for all. These include:

  • The aisles have been increased from 2m to 3m to aid social distancing.
  • There is the possibility of having a one-way system around the  show  if required.
  • There are hand sanitising stations at all entry points.
  • There will be no-contact badging for pre-registered visitors – so please pre-register your attendance.
  • A Digital visitors’ show guide and floor plan will be introduced to reduce contact points.
  • Possibility to limit number of visitors if required without impacting the show.
  • The halls are cleaned every night with antimicrobial electrostatic spray.
  • The venue is only five years old and has a state of the art air filtration system.
  • The venue has obtained accreditations with Visit England, through the “We’re Good to Go” industry standard, the Meetings Industry Association’s “AIM Secure” standard for business events, as well as ensuring all operational planning is in line with the Government approved “All Secure Standard.”
  • The only pilot trade event in the UK has taken place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, giving great confidence for the staging of OTS.
