Europe’s biggest caravanning and camping show, Caravan Salon, will have three additional halls and significantly extended ranges on display for its 2022 edition. The show, which will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany from 26 August to 4 September, will enjoy one of its biggest ever events in 2022 with more than 600 exhibitors expected to cover an area of 250,000sqm in six different halls.

Stefan Koschke, project director caravanning and outdoor for the show organisers, said: “We are very satisfied that we succeeded in convincing many new companies and numerous repeaters of our concept. The exhibition area will grow by three halls.

“Caravan Salon is the only place to see the full line-up of brands thereby offering the kind of direct product comparison that is also only possible with us in Düsseldorf. We look to this year’s event full of optimism and anticipation.”

As well as caravans, motorhomes and campers, the show will also house a wide portfolio of accessories, technical equipment, detachable parts, roof tents, mobile homes, outdoor wear, travel destinations, campsites and motorhome pitches.

Daniel Onggowinarso, managing director of Caravaning Industrie Verband e.V. (CIVD), is in similarly upbeat mood about the 2022 edition of the show. He said: “Vacationing with motorhomes and caravans has seen enormous and constantly growing uptake for more than ten years. The pandemic then reinforced the trend towards individual and near-nature travelling yet again.

“Since travelling has become possible again with almost no restrictions people are planning their holidays at full speed. This means a visit to Caravan Salon pays off all the more for both caravanning lovers and newbies because there is no other place where the bandwidth of vehicles and accessories is so broad and products can be experienced in such a hands-on way.”
