Cathargo Group expands HQ to match course for growth

The Cathargo Group has finished a €7 million investment in its Cathargo City headquarters which the company says is aligned with its current for growth in 2021 and beyond. The German manufacturer, which owns leisure vehicle brands Cathargo and Malibu, has added 80 new state-of-the-art workrooms and a modern company restaurant to its headquarters, along with an additional 40 workplaces that blend in perfectly with the existing architecture. It has also modernised many aspects of the building including adding numerous charging stations for e-cars and e-bikes for its employees.

Cathargo has been in its present custom-built headquarters some eight years ago and this expansion is a direct reflection of the group’s overall growth. The company group has expanded rapidly since then. The newly established sister brand Malibu successfully extended the Carthago range with vans and motorhomes in the upper middle class in 2013. Development of the Carthago product range, Europe’s leading premium motorhome brand, also continued in a target-oriented way. As a result, the workforce at the two locations in Aulendorf and Odranci/Slovenia also increased by around 800 to a total of about 1500 employees.

The new building was quickly erected in just over a year during ongoing operations and within the specified timescale and budget. An inviting and large glazed entrance area at the junction of the two administrative buildings will form the completion of the construction work during the spring. Visitors are welcome – after all, they must feel as comfortable in Carthago City as the employees.

The new build has increased the office area from 3400 to 5400 m². A total of 120 workrooms have been added on three storeys, 80 of which are initially being occupied. The following applies to both the building and the motorhomes of the company group: state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment. 60 km of data cables run through the new building alone. A stable 10 GB connection to the computer centre is available to all employees via more than 350 installed ports. Cooling ceilings, optimum WLAN connection, open meeting areas and materials such as wood and glass are the basis for a pleasant working atmosphere. There are also areas for short stays with a free supply of fresh water and ergonomically perfect workplaces with tables with adjustable height.
